Photos Full of Happiness ( and Love)

Brian and I had an absolute blast doing our engagement photos with Brooke Christl Photography. If you are in the south, anywhere near myrtle beach S.C. I would recommend Brooke in a heartbeat. I can’t wait for the day to take our wedding photos (which is in 7 months, 4 weeks, 0 days, and 23 hours—But who’s counting).

Anyways, I read different tips and outfits you should wear for your engagement shots and got some great ideas. Honestly, I was pretty low key about the whole thing and just kind of did our own thing. I knew that Brian and I wanted them done near Murrells Inlet because its amazing there.

Before:

Before we got our photos done, I was kinda nervous. I mean if you think about it, we will have these pictures forever (O.M.G Pressure!). I got my hair done and did my make up as best that I could. Some people bring a lot of different outfits for their session but I only wore one. I really didn’t want the stress of changing outfits. I put on my dress and was ready to go about an hour and a half before we were supposed to shoot. I started pacing the floor…back and forth..back and forth.. What else was there to do but pop open a bottle of champagne and have a glass (or three). I wanted to be relaxed and I was. Brooke did a really great job of making us feel comfortable as well.

During:

We chose the hottest day of the year and of course I decided to wear a LBD.  We had the PERFECT lighting. Dusk is my favorite part of day, so i’m really glad we got the timing perfect. I chose to wear black because you wouldn’t be focusing on my outfit as much as you would Brian and I, plus its slimming. ( at least that’s what I told myself). I think it’s a great idea to meet your photographer before your wedding day, so you get to know them. It was a lot of smiling and looking at each other and kissing and goofiness. My cheeks hurt, but that’s too different from when i’m spending time with my love.

After:

After we got our photos done, we had a drink with Brooke at the Mullet Hut ( Best rum punches in the world), which is in murrells inlet on the marsh walk. For a Monday night, this place was hoppin! We all had the best time. After drinks, Brian and I had dinner at the spot where we went after we got engaged, Bubba’s Love Shack. As soon as we walked in, the band started playing our favorite song and then the hostess sat us at a table that had the perfect view of a fireworks show that lit up the sky even better than the 4th of July. If thats not a sign then I don’t know what is. It. was. awesome.

That was truly was one of those nights that will be planted in my memory forever.
